To begin the quest talk to Head Researcher Sobling at the Westernmost entrance to Giants Cave.

He will tell you to hunt yintzus, paliotes, hamruts and kranrots, which are all found throughout the upper section of Giants cave.

They will drop ancient parchments. The parchments and the items they open up into are tradeable and you can setup shops with them. If you open the parchments, they will turn into one of the following items:

Giants Doodle
Giants Loveletter
Book: Giants Medical Science Chapters 1-5
Handbook: Giants Architecture Chapters 1-5
Blueprint: Giants Golem Chapters 1-5
Book: Basics of Giants Magic Chapters 1-5

The Giants Doodles and Loveletters are the items the parchments turn into most frequently and cannot be traded in to Sobling and should be sold to the shop for 100 adena each. You need all 5 chapters of one book type to turn them in as a reward to Sobling. You will randomly receive one of the two recipes for each set of books(Chapters 1,2,3,4 and 5) from the list below:

While killing the above mentioned mobs, there is also the chance that you will earn a Mysterious Book in your quest inventory. Bring this to Sobling, who tells you to bring it to Warehouse Freightman Cliff in Oren Town. He will translate it into the Ancient Language Dictionary: Intermediate Level. Bring this back to Sobling and you can activate the quest Exploration of Giants Cave part 2.

Catacombs, Necropolis and Oracles

CATACOMBS, NECROPOLIS AND THE ORACLE NOTE: All player that had completed the 2nd class quest profession can register at Priest of Dawn or Priestess of Dusk to can enter in catacombs and necropolis. Sixteen dungeons were added in relation to the Seven Signs. The Oracle is the place where the Festival of Darkness is held. The Catacombs and Necropolis’ are dungeons where the players can hunt monsters and get Seal Stones necessary for the acquisition of the Seals. These monsters, represented by Lilim and Nephilim, drop Seal Stones, but do not drop Adena. Access to these dungeons is limited based on participation in the Cabal and ownership of the Seals. Necropolis Necropolis of Sacrifice: level 20~30 monsters appear and it is located on the southern seashore of the Gludio Territory. Pilgrims Necropolis: level 30~40 monsters appear and it is located near the Partisan's Hideaway in Dion Territory. Worshipers Necropolis: level 40~50 m

Subclass Quests

In order to subclass you must do 4 quests. Below is the order of which you can and should take them. The first three are pre-requirements for the final one. 1.) Supplier of Reagents Level: 57 Location: Ivory Tower sopping level Trader Wesley Purpose: to be able to collect the reagant pouches which have moonstone shards, volcanic ash, and quicksilver needed for Mimir's elixir at 75. Hunt occasionally in Blazing Swamp and TOI to get reagant pouches as well as lava stones and stuff. DO NOT open the pouches unless you have room in warehouse for multiple components. 2.) An Arrogant Search Level: 60 Location: Aden DE Guild Magister Hanellin Purpose: get your bloody fabrics. You use 1 fabric per time entering the vortex to see Baium. 3.) Fate's Whisper Level: 75 Location: Skyshadow Meadow Maestro Reorin Purpose: collect the orb from cabrio, and the scepters from the 3 TOI raid bosses, to receive your pipette knife and stab Baium. Guide Kamaloka

What is Kamaloka? The Kamaloka are instances where you can get much exp, sp and drops. There are 3 types of them: The Kamaloka Hall of Abyss ( added in Gracia Part 1), Kamaloka Labyrinth of Abyss ( added in Gracia Part 2 and Rim kamaloka (added in INNOVA-Official Russian server in 2014). Before you enter Kamaloka you should definitly start the related "Mutated Kaneus" Quests. You can accept this quest for each town. For that you just need to kill the boss on level x3 and x6 for each town once. After that talk to the NPC again. It will give you SP, Adena and EXP. Totally worth it, especially for beginner.
